What is Flashing?
Flashing is the material at the base of chimneys, stacks and vents that are designed to waterproof the juncture where they penetrate the roof. Faulty or deteriorated flashings can cause leaks and water damage to be surrounding roof and eventually the interior of your home. Occasional inspection and maintenance of the flashing systems on your roof will help prevent problems.
What is a concrete chimney cap?
A concrete chimney cap is the concrete on top of a chimney top that sheds water off the chimney top while also locking the masonry together at its point of termination.
What is Crowncoat?
A crown coat is a flexible waterproof sealant that is applied over your entire existing chimney cap.
